Farhad Anoosh

Founder of Anova Medical Spa

Dr. Anoosh is a highly accomplished surgeon specializing in bariatric, general, and aesthetic medicine. After graduating medical school with honors, he completed surgery training at New York Medical College and served as Chief Surgical Resident at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He pursued a fellowship in minimally invasive bariatric surgery under Dr. Anita Courcoulas at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he also served as a Clinical Instructor of Surgery. With extensive experience in minimally invasive and robotic surgeries, Dr. Anoosh has performed thousands of procedures, including over 1,000 gastric bypasses, sleeve gastrectomies, gastric banding, and revisional operations. He was among the first bariatric surgeons to combine weight loss care with abdominoplasties for patients who had significant weight loss.

Recognizing the importance of aesthetics, he pursued additional training in aesthetic medicine and cosmetology, mastering non-surgical weight loss, advanced weight loss medications, and innovative technologies like laser and radiofrequency for body contouring and skin care.

Dr. Anoosh practices at Long Island Laparoscopic Surgery under the leadership of renowned robotic surgeon Dr. Ahmad and serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Hofstra University. He is dedicated to guiding patients through transformative journeys, enhancing their health, confidence, and quality of life with comprehensive care.
